Meet the Members - Lulin Reutens

Lulin has always loved the outdoors and enjoys scuba diving and brisk walking. Born on January 27, 1946, she was a journalist for 20 years before establishing herself as an editorial consultant and writer.

As the base camp manager of the Singapore Mountaineers team, she has been on all the team's expeditions, including those to Mera Peak, Xixabangma, Cho Oyu and Everest in 2005.

She is also a director in the team's mentoring projects such as the NUS Make It Real Student Mountaineering Programme and the NUS Centennital Everest Team.

She wrote Southbound — the First Singapore Antarctica Expedition 2000 for which she travelled with the Antarctica team to Punta Arenas at the southern tip of Chile. She was co-author of  Xixabangma —an Alpine Ascent of the North Ridge with Robert, and wrote No Dream Too High — National University of Singapore Centennial Everest Expedition 2005.
